1. About these terms

SydeDoor is the trading name of Joao Alves, a sole trader ("SydeDoor", "we", "us"). You can reach us at joao@sydedoor.com, and we will give you a postal address for legal notices on request. These terms apply when you use sydedoor.com (the "site"). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

They cover the site only. Joining a programme is covered by our booking terms, which take priority over these terms for anything to do with a membership or edition. How we handle personal data is covered by our privacy policy and cookie policy.

2. Who the site is for

The site is for young adults aged 16 to 25 exploring SydeDoor. Parents, guardians and educators are welcome to read it too. If you are under 18, we ask that you check with a parent or guardian before giving us your details or taking a place.

3. Pre-launch information

SydeDoor is pre-launch. Joining the waitlist does not buy you anything, reserve a place or commit you to anything. Dates, hosts, formats, prices and places described on the site are our current plans. They may change before launch, and footage and images are illustrative. The details confirmed to you when you take a place are the ones that count.

4. Our content

The site's text, design, logo and the SydeDoor name belong to us or the people who license them to us. You are welcome to read, share links to and print pages for your own personal use. Please don't copy, republish or sell our content, or use it to train AI models, without asking us in writing first.

5. Using the site fairly

Please don't:

• use the site for anything unlawful or harmful;
• try to gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it;
• disrupt the site, including with malware or heavy automated requests;
• scrape the site in bulk;
• pretend to be someone else when you contact us or fill in a form.

We may block access for anyone who does.

6. Links and other services

Some links take you to services we don't run. Our waitlist form is hosted by Tally, for example. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we aren't responsible for their content or how they work. A link is not an endorsement.

7. Availability and accuracy

We work to keep the site accurate and running, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or up to date. The site is general information. It isn't careers, financial, legal or other professional advice.

8. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

The site is free to use and for personal use. Subject to the paragraph above, we aren't liable for business losses, or for losses that weren't a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the site and SydeDoor develop. The latest version is always on this page, with its date below. Please check back from time to time.

10. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts can hear any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live and can bring a claim in your local courts.
